Boats present unique power challenges — limited space, exposure to moisture and salt air, and a house battery bank that may be undersized, poorly maintained, or nearing end of life. A portable power station can supplement or replace an aging house bank without rewiring the boat, and power needs vary a lot depending on whether you're out for the day or cruising for a week.

Light, Medium, and Heavy Use

  • Light use: Day trips and fishing — phone charging, a cooler, and basic marine electronics like a chartplotter or VHF (typically 25–60W). Look for 250–500Wh of capacity — our Compact collection fits here.

  • Heavy use: Extended cruising or living aboard, where you need enough capacity and solar to stay balanced over multiple days away from shore power. Marine conditions bring humidity and salt exposure into the mix — even water-resistant units should be stored below deck or in dry storage when not in use.
