Running low on range with no charging station close enough is a different kind of problem than a dead phone. A power station can help — most EVs come with a mobile charging cable that plugs into any standard 120V outlet, including a power station's AC output. It won't fully charge your car, but it can add enough range to reach the next charger. What matters is the station's continuous output, since that's what determines how fast the car will actually accept power.

Light, Medium, and Heavy Use

  • Light use: A short emergency top-up to reach a nearby charger — roughly 30 minutes to an hour of charging, adding about 3–5 miles of range per hour. Look for at least 1,500W of continuous output and 500–1,000Wh of capacity — our Mid-Range collection fits here.
  • Medium use: A longer charging session, two to three hours, to add a more meaningful buffer of 10–20 miles. Look for 1,500–2,500Wh of capacity with 1,800W+ of continuous output — our Mid-Range to High Capacity collections fit here.
  • Heavy use: Keeping range-rescue power on hand for remote driving or repeated top-ups, without needing to recharge the station itself right away. Look for 3,000Wh or more, and consider an expansion battery for extra sessions — our High Capacity and Ultra-High Capacity collections fit here.

Think of this as a way to extend your range, not replace a full charge — always check your vehicle's charging cable and manual before using a power station this way.
