Outdoor classrooms, field trips, and STEM programs need portable power for projectors, laptops, microscopes, robotics equipment, and charging stations. Equipment in an educational setting has to be durable enough for student use, simple enough for a teacher to operate without training, and flexible enough to support different activities — the same station might run a projector one day and charge a cart of tablets the next.

Light, Medium, and Heavy Use

  • Light use: A field trip or small group — charging a handful of tablets or laptops and running the occasional small device. Look for 250–500Wh of capacity — our Compact collection fits here.
  • Medium use: An outdoor classroom running a projector (200–350W) for presentations along with regular device charging. Look for 1,000–1,500Wh of capacity — our Mid-Range collection fits here.
  • Heavy use: A STEM lab or maker space, or bulk charging for a full class set of devices. Charging 30 devices at once can need 900–1,800W of output, more than a small station can deliver. Look for our High Capacity or Ultra-High Capacity collections, or stagger charging across smaller groups with a mid-sized unit. Pairing in a portable solar panel helps for multi-day programs.

Because these units are simple to operate — plug in, power on — staff and students can use them without special training.
